Get On With It

So Wyatt has become obsessed with the cartoon "Go Diego Go." During the days he was sick he probably watched the "Diego's Lion Cub Rescue" video 100 times.

At the start of one of the episodes Diego and his sister introduce themselves by saying, "Hi, I'm Diego and I'm Alicia."

Now whenever he gets to that part of the dialogue, Wyatt yells at the characters on TV, "I know who you are. Just do the show!"

Colty Foam Home

So....Joe ripped open his Tempurpedic pillow to re-stuff a different pillow. A few tiny pieces of foam fell on the floor.

Colt picked one up and asked Joe what it was. Joe says, "It's foam."

He looks at Joe like he's an idiot. Then he tentatively holds it up to his ear and says, "Phone?"

One Meeelion Dollars

So....I got a birthday card from my Uncle that had Mike Myers character "Dr. Evil" on the front.

When you open it it says, "You deserve a great birthday gift....like one meeeeellion dollars." It had a $1,000,000 bill inside.

Wyatt grabs it and says, "Can I use this to buy a drink at Gigglebugs?"

A New Mommy

So it's my birthday on Monday and I say to Wyatt, "It's Mommy's birthday today. Mommy is 35. Mommy is old."

Wyatt considers this and says with a very serious face, "Mommy, you aren't old. You are new!"

I Love What ????

So Wyatt is getting ready for bed. As he covers up and settles down he looks at me sweetly and says, "I love Mommy. I love Daddy."

He pauses, and adds, "I love air conditioners."

The Wave

So...the two youngest Hampton boys have found their own way to communicate.

Zane flails his arms like all infants do. Colt laughs and waves back.

It creates smiles every time!

Super Baby

So...Wyatt, aka Rescue Ott, wanders up while I'm holding Zane.

He says, "I think baby Zane will be a rescuer like me."

I say, "Don't you have to be really brave to do that?"

He says, "Yeah, but there's nothing to be 'fraid of."

Hold Me Closer, Tiny Brother

So...Wyatt asks all day long, "Can I hold the baby?"

He tells Zane, "I love you baby Zane." He often smiles proudly and tells me, "Zane loves his big brother."

When he talks about him it is not "the baby" or "our baby"...for Wyatt, Zane is "my baby."

Big Brother

So...Wyatt is a big brother again and he is smitten with Zane.

He has been asking for months, "Do babies like big kids?" "Do babies like to be holded?"

Zane says, the answer to both is, "Yes."

A Gift For Mommy

So...the boys get word from G.G. that "new baby" has arrived. They are promised a visit to the hospital. Wyatt says, "We should bring Mommy a flower." He delivered.

Announcing Zane

So...the third Hampton cowboy has arrived.

Zane Joseph, 8 pounds, 3 ounces, 19 3/4 inches, great muscle tone!

The docs toddlerism as Zane left the womb, "Wow, he's a big boy."

Wrap It Up

So...Wyatt is readying for new baby. That includes "buying" gifts. He came downstairs with a pillow case in his hands. He told us, "I got baby a present and I wrapped it up." Inside the pillowcase package, one of Colt's toys. Hey, its the thought that counts!
