Bump it
So now that my pregnant belly has reached maximum density, Colt has become even more obsessed with stomachs. His favorite game is bumping tummies. He lifts his shirt and insists that I lift mine. He says, "Mommy, bump beebo," and then charges toward me with gusto for some belly button to belly button contact.
Hablo Espanol?
So Wyatt has mastered youtube. If you get that boy on the site, he can find his own cartoons. Granted, he chooses based on images, not text, so often his selections are in a foreign language. He doesn't seem to care. This morning, during breakfast, he picks an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. As it starts, he smiles broadly and says, "Mommy, it's Mickey, and it's not in 'panish!"

Sugar n' Spice, Everything Nice?
So Wyatt and I are in the car, riding home from his pre-school Valentine's Day party. He is digging through the sack of cards and gifts from his classmates. He grabs one with a big pink butterfly, a sheet of heart stickers and a red ribbon. He yells, "Ewwwww, Laila gave me a girlie Valentine. This is too girlie for me!"
Next year we'll demand only snails and puppy dog tails!

To The Rescue!
So...We bought Wyatt a "Dora and Diego" book last weekend. He has carried it everywhere, to the dinner table, to school, to the grocery store, to bed. He reads it to himself in the car.
Now the obsession has grown. He, like Dora and Diego, insists on wearing his backpack all the time.
Because the kids are animal rescuers, he has started answering only to the name, "Rescue Ott."

Build-a-What?
So the boys have been eager to buy "new baby" a birthday gift. We went to the "Build-a-Bear" workshop at the mall. Wyatt was hoping to build a cat. He asks in the car, "Why don't they call it Build-a-Cat?" Apparently, because they no longer sell cats there.
Wyatt choses a hound dog instead. He names him "GooGoo" because, "That's what babies say." He dresses him in an "it's a boy" tee shirt. And insists, " We need to buy him a binkie."
