He is a little nervous. He attaches to the back of my legs like velcro until he sees Kayce, a friend from his class last year.
At the end of the day his teacher tells me he was a little quiet, but he did good.
In the car we ask him, "What did you do in school?"
He says, "I made a funny hat."
Later he adds one more detail. "I raised my hand."
"Why?" I ask. "Were you answering a question, or volunteering for a job?"
"I just raised my hand," he said.
Ok, then.
